Store your clothes in style

A chest of drawers is one of those pieces of furniture that works hard in the background, keeping everything organised and out of sight. Whether you're looking to create a calm, clutter-free bedroom or need somewhere to store clothes, linens and other essentials, our collection of chests offers a thoughtful mix of sizes, styles and finishes to suit your space and way of living.

Explore our ranges

From the timeless elegance of our Chantilly Warm White 5 Drawer Chest to the rich, characterful tones of the Camille Limewash Oak Tall 5 Drawer Chest, each range brings its own personality. Our Chester collection, available in Pure White, Dove Grey and Classic Cream, pairs painted finishes with natural oak tops for a look that's both fresh and grounded. If you prefer something with a bit more warmth, the Winchcombe Dark Oak range features softly curved bow fronts and a deep, natural grain that nods to Georgian design. For a lighter, Scandi-inspired feel, our Inglesham Whitewash Oak pieces showcase the beauty of hand-applied finishes that enhance the wood's natural character.

Sizes, shapes and configurations

We know that every home is different, so we've designed our chests to fit a variety of spaces and storage needs. Choose from compact tallboys and petite 3-drawer chests for smaller rooms, mid-sized 5-drawer options for everyday storage, or wide 7 and 8-drawer chests that offer generous capacity without taking up too much floor space. Many of our designs feature a mix of smaller and larger drawers, making it easier to organise everything from socks and accessories to bulkier items like jumpers and jeans. For those who need a bit of extra functionality, our Winchcombe Vanity Tallboy includes a lift-up lid with jewellery compartments and a mirror – a thoughtful touch that saves on space.

Built to last with our Signature Cotswold Quality

Every chest in our collection is handcrafted using traditional techniques that have stood the test of time. Mortise and tenon joints provide a strong, sturdy framework, while dovetail drawers add extra strength and durability. Many of our pieces are made from solid oak or solid pine, with hand-applied finishes that bring out the natural beauty of the wood. Soft-close drawers, where featured, offer a smooth, quiet close – a small detail that makes a big difference in everyday life. And because we want you to buy once and love for a lifetime, all our chests come with a 15-year structural guarantee.

Design and material choices

Whether you're drawn to the crisp, contemporary feel of painted finishes or the warm, lived-in look of natural wood, our chests are designed to complement a wide range of interiors. Painted options like Warm White, Pebble Grey and Dusky Black bring a sense of calm and light, while our oak finishes – from limewash to smoked and oiled – add depth and character. Hardware choices include brushed metal, painted wood and antiqued brass-effect handles, allowing you to personalise your piece to suit your style. Many of our ranges also offer a choice of handles, so you can change the look as your home evolves.

How should the chests be cleaned and maintained to preserve their finish?

To keep your chest of drawers looking beautiful, dust regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, use a cloth dampened with mild detergent, then dry thoroughly to prevent watermarks. Never use abrasive cleaners. If your chest has a wax or oil finish, treat it periodically with furniture wax or oil to protect and hydrate the wood. Wipe up spills immediately using a blotting action. Keep your furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and use protection under hot items. For detailed care instructions, visit our Wood Furniture Care Guide.

Do the chests come with a warranty, and what does it cover?

Yes, all our chests of drawers come with The Cotswold Company 15-year Structural Guarantee for added peace of mind. This covers any faults to structural elements including frames, joints, hinges and handles. You can find out more about our guarantee here.

Are the chests made from sustainably sourced materials?

Yes, our chests are made from sustainably sourced materials. We're passionate about using wood responsibly and work hard to ensure all our timber is sustainably sourced. Our oak comes from either the USA or Germany, whilst our pine originates from New Zealand, Brazil or Bulgaria, depending on the range. We trace the chain of custody all the way from the trader and logger right back to the source forest, ensuring all forests are licensed and located in countries where those licenses include sustainable reforestation.
