I am so disappointed with this piece and am feeling slightly ripped off and now wish I had bought a much cheaper flat packed bookcase from another retailer.I thought long and hard about purchasing from this company and had been considering buying more than one product. I’m so glad that I didn’t buy more than one item for the following reasons. Firstly, the depth of the bookcase is mean and requires fixing to the wall to make it safe. Why not increase the depth so customers don’t have to drill holes into the case or a wall. Secondly, for a company that apparently prides itself on quality, why aren’t all of the shelfs fixed? The loose ones don’t fit snuggly into the main carcass. And thirdly, why don’t the delivery service remove the substantial packaging? I have given two stars or the colour and oak top but I think that is being generous. I will not be purchasing from this company again: I wanted so much to like your products.

I was impressed with the initial service but was disappointed over the delivery information. On the agreed delivery day, I found out by text that the delivery was in fact scheduled for the following week and I should never have been given the date advised by the Cotswold Company. I was emailed and asked to review the item when I hadn’t even received it. I still haven’t received a reply to my email regarding the incorrect delivery information. Having said that, when the item finally arrived, it was very well packaged and protected and in perfect condition. The only assembly required was to position the shelves as required. I am very pleased with the bookcase - it is good quality and excellent value for money. Communication could have been improved upon but I would still order from Cotswold Company again.

Lovely finish, although one of the shelves was too tight to fit into the case, with some force it locked into place but this cause some of the paint to chip on the shelf.
