Whether you are buying a sofa, a wardrobe or a dining table, you can be confident that all structural elements of our furniture* are guaranteed. This includes the frames, joints, hinges and handles as well as frames, springs and webbings of our upholstery.

*Excludes garden furniture, homewares and mattresses (our Pure Natural Collection mattresses come with their own manufacturer’s guarantee).

Do I need to register my guarantee?

No, your item(s) will be covered for 15 years from the date of purchase.

What does the guarantee cover?

Furniture

The Cotswold Company 15-year Structural Guarantee covers any faults to structural elements of our cabinetry furniture, including:

  • Frames

  • Joints

  • Hinges

  • Handles

Sofas & Armchairs

The Cotswold Company 15-year Frame Guarantee covers any faults to structural elements of our upholstered sofas, armchairs or footstools, including:

  • Spring breakage

  • Wood breakage

  • Loose joints

Please note: garden furniture and home accessories are not covered in either of the above, while our Pure Natural Collection mattresses come with their own manufacturer’s guarantee – please see here for more information.

Is fabric covered within my guarantee?

No but we offer a comprehensive five-year upholstery care plan across the range if you’d like additional fabric assurance for your sofa or armchair.

How do I make a claim?

Just follow these easy steps…

  1. Have your order number (and batch code or label, if possible) to hand as well as a photo of the fault that is subject to the claim in question

  2. Contact our friendly Customer Services team via phone 0808 599 0337 or email at customercare@cotswoldco.com to discuss the issue

  3. Let us do the rest. If your fault is covered within the guarantee, our internal teams will then allocate a specialist technician to come and repair or replace your item

What happens once I've made a claim?

All repairs will be carried out by qualified service technicians appointed by The Cotswold Company, who will work with you to carefully repair your item.

If we are unable to repair your furniture, for any reason, we will replace it with the same item, where possible. And if this is no longer available, a suitable alternative of the same quality and style will be offered.

How long do I have to make a claim?

Should you need to make a claim, all relevant paperwork should be submitted within 28 days of this first being reported to The Cotswold Company.

Is the guarantee applicable to a previous purchase or an item that hasn’t been delivered yet?

The Cotswold Company 15-year Structural guarantee does not cover items purchased before 1st February 2023.

Our other guarantees - The Cotswold Company 15-year Frame Guarantee and the Pure Natural Collection mattress manufacturer’s guarantee are eligible for cover prior to this date. Please contact our Customer Services team on 0808 599 0337 or email at customercare@cotswoldco.com for more information.

Is furniture from the Outlet covered by the guarantee?

No, the guarantee does not cover any items purchased from one of our Outlet stores.

My item was delivered damaged, can I still claim?

On the rare occasion that your item is delivered damaged, please contact us directly in the first instance and we will resolve this for you.

If I accept a damage discount, does it invalidate my guarantee?

No. Any form of damage discount would only be applicable to a small scratch or similar. On the rare occasion that your item may be delivered significantly damaged we would immediately provide a replacement.

When does my guarantee expire?

Your product will be covered for 15 years from the date of purchase.

How can I check what’s included or excluded in the guarantee?

Both The Cotswold Company 15-year Structural Guarantee and The Cotswold Company 15-year Frame Guarantee do not cover any issues arising as part of normal wear and tear, damages due to environmental exposure or adverse weather conditions, improper care or accidental damage; product that has been exported outside of the UK or that has been purchased from an Outlet store.
